How It Works

How It Works

From Dock to Paid Invoice, Automatically

Everything below happens from your phone’s browser — no app to download, no paperwork to file later.

1

1-Tap GPS Check-In

The moment you arrive at a facility, open WaitClaim in your browser and tap “Check In.” Your phone’s GPS location and the exact timestamp are locked immediately — no typing, no guessing what time it “probably” was.

  • Works on any phone’s browser — iPhone or Android, no app store download
  • Add it to your home screen once and it opens like a normal app from then on
  • Optionally attach a photo of the Bill of Lading right at check-in
2

Automated Dwell Math

While you’re waiting, WaitClaim tracks your time on-site live. When you tap “Check Out,” it captures your departure GPS point and timestamp the same way, then does the math instantly.

  • Standard 2-hour free time subtracted automatically (adjustable per broker or lane)
  • Detention time rounded to the nearest 15 minutes, the same way brokers calculate it
  • You see the exact billable time and can enter your rate to see what you’re owed before generating anything
3

Dispute-Proof Invoicing

One tap generates a clean PDF invoice with your GPS-verified arrival and departure timestamps, the detention math, and your Bill of Lading photo attached. If you’ve entered a broker email for that stop, it’s sent automatically — no separate email client, no attaching files yourself.

  • Every invoice is saved to your account history
  • Timestamps and GPS coordinates are baked into the PDF, not just claimed in an email
  • You can still follow up manually with brokers who need more back-and-forth
Common Questions

Before You Get Started

Does this drain my phone’s battery?

No. WaitClaim only reads your location twice per stop — once at check-in, once at check-out. It doesn’t track you continuously or run in the background between taps.

What if I lose signal at the dock?

GPS itself doesn’t require cell signal to get a location fix, and most phones will queue the check-in/check-out until they have enough connectivity to save it. For the most reliable result, check in as soon as you have a GPS lock, even before you have full cell bars.

Can I adjust the free-time window per broker?

Yes. The standard 2-hour window is the default, but if a rate confirmation specifies something different, you can adjust it for that stop so the math matches what was actually agreed.

What happens after I send an invoice?

It’s saved to your account with a status you can track. If the broker disputes it, you still have the full GPS-verified record to fall back on — far stronger footing than a handwritten note.
